So I've got a 7815u and already ordered a x9100 to speed up the processor as it was holding my gaming back a little. Now I use this laptop for handling lots of documents/pictures at work and then game MW2/SC2 etc at night and was curious on your opinions on then next bang for buck upgrade. I'm thinking SSD but ram prices are so low I might go that direction. Also I'm seeing conflicting statements about max ram on these machines. Some say its 4gb others say its 8gb. Any input? What do you guys think?

I'd say go for SSD first. You can put 8 gb in the P-78xx, but that won't do you too much good as the real applications that benefit from that much memory are really scarce while the SSD will right away boost your system 'snappiness' and overall the OS will run better and programs will start up faster.

I'll agree on the SSD, I have a Vertex 2 drive and it is a great boon. The especially if you are manipulating files etc. Being able to open flies and programs faster is great...............
best bang for the buck
