earlier my explorer started crashing and could restart.so i spent probably 2 hours or more trying to figure it out.i found out i had a virus "vundo" which i got after updating java.i ran fixvundo got rid of it and still had the problem.then i finally realized the it would boot with the windows classic theme and didn't crash.so i try basic, and was fine, tried aero and crashed. so know i can't run aero and have to deal with this crap blue window.

anyone know a fix or any good themes?

Have you tried a system restore back to before you installed the virus?

Has you tried booting to your OS disk and running the repair choice (not reinstall)

It should repair all of your damaged files

i did and it said the disc was not compatible, so i downloaded a vista recovery disc and am going to do that once all my scans are done.

the recovery couldn't find any problems, i might just have to start backing stuff up and do a complete reinstall.
