Did anybody pick it up.
How do you like it compared to cod4.
Performance? what model fx do you have? include any nonstock parts

It worked alright on the MP beta demo on my 7811. However, people aimhacked like crazy, which made it absolutely no fun.
 -

i might have time to install today, will let you know.
 -

I heard it was COD4 with new texture skins...
 -

Hmm I dont know if its just me, but I keep getting black screens after doing "SAVE AND EXIT" and before a specific mission starts.
Anyone having the same problem? -

Played, all maxed out (except AA level) @1920x1200. Ran supper smooth on P7811-fx. Near 40-50 fps constantly.

I have both on 360...THey are pretty much the same as far as rankings and prestige...I like the guns in cod4 but like the maps better in cod5
 -

CoD 5 is fantastic. Could use a better menu interface for friends and such, but the gameplay is fantastic. Sure I prefer modern warfare, but overall the game is fantastic and I love it. CooP is a dream.

what laptops do you guys have? any laptop non stock hardware?
 -

Do you know if coop works on a LAN or just online?

I "borrowed" it, and im on the fence right now. i think I will stick with COD4, as there is nothing really appealing over COD4.
 -

i liked to campaign, but the multiplayer not so much.
 -

IMO multiplayer is the best part of both COD4(PC), and World at War (PS3)
plus the new added perks like being able to revive teammates are very interesting. -

A lot of servers were prohibiting use of Second Chance and Martyrdom in the beta.
 -

i'm just not a big fan of the whole WWII still, and i don't like the maps all that much.

It's nice. It's like COD4 but with a WW2 theme changing the dynamics to close combat, gritty in the trenches warfare in your face, since the weapons weren't as powerful as we have in Modern warfare.
I just bought the game and haven't had the chance to play multiplayer though, but the single player engine seems to be refined and enhanced to the point of squeezing out all the potential of the COD4 engine. I hope they use it in future games so we don't need to keep on upgrading to the next expensive powerful system to game.
BTW I have a Toshiba x305 with a 9700m gts and have graphics settings all maxed 4x aa at 1440x900 and it keeps a constant 30 fps. I think the framerate was to be locked at 30 but sometimes it goes up to 50 and down to 20 but most of the time it's steady at 30 fps. -
what video card do you have?
 -
 He said 7811... 9800m gts...
 -

multiplayer seems to be a lot more smooth and generates more fps. I get 50-60 fps even with 40 players gaming. Just like Cod4. Awesome game.
 -

how is the campaign?
 -

Ekk! Just to warn you guys.
Make sure you set your speaker settings at 24bit (Studio Quality) 48000.
I had mine set up at 16bit Studio Quality and at first it gave me tons of black screens and then after I re-installed the game, it just didnt ran at all. -

It's just like a movie similar to COD4. I just got to the tank stage and things start feeling even more exciting from there.
 -

i have cod4 and cod5 for 360 and PC, IMO, they both suck on PC, its not fun at all for me. i enjoy it alot more on 360.
 -

hate the dogs in multiplayer!!! keep dying hahahaha
 -

i think both COD 4 and 5 are pretty good games.
Of course we can't compare with the console ones, but that's the way it is ALWAYS. Stop comparing a Xbox or PS3 with a PC dudes, there is no fuc#### comparison.
I also get the black screens on cod5 between levels.
Any idea?
cod 5... world at war
