    color/screen resolution

    I just bought this gateway notebook and I used a picture of mine for the desktop set on 1200x800 screen resolution and it was fine, after a few virus protection updates and restarts to the computer, the color in the picture I used for the desktop is all messed up. It is fine if I change the screen resolution to 1024x768 though. I don't understand why it was fine at first but then just all of a sudden decided to mess up the color. Can anyone help me with this?
