i'm trying to upgrade my hdd from 80 to possibly 120-160. spoke with gateway tech support and was informed that i could only upgrade to a 100 or 120gb hdd with an ATA-6 interface. i've searched on ebay and found 160gb ATA-6 and ATA-7 interface; can i put either one in? if anyone knows this i would really appreciate the advice because i don't want to waste my money? also, tech support told me that i could only use these two models: hitachi travelstar 7k100 or 5k100 which are 100gb hdd? does it matter if it's hitachi or samsung or toshiba and does it have to be an ATA-6 interface?
