Am I able to OC my cpu if I buy one of the faster 45n processors? Or can I only run them at stock speed?
I know with dual core I don't need to fast aprocessor; but for single-thread games I still play I want to upgrade this.
If the T9500 is OC'ble I'd rather get it for the lower starting voltage.
If not OC'ble, most likely gonna get the X900 since many people seem to be handling it fine.

Centrino chips have a feature called Intel Dynamic Acceleration. When working on single core programs, the chip can shut down one core and overclock the other to the allowed limits within the TDP, so you already have a benefit without having to do any overclocking work.
And yes, it's possible to overclock pretty much any Intel Core 2 chip, it's not wise to do so in a laptop, especially if you're going from one that runs at 1.83GHz to 2.6GHz, with stock temperatures already. With the 8800 you already have in your system, I wouldn't recommend going from 1.83GHz to 2.6GHz, much less overclocking it. -
They use the same amount of voltage, so the 2.6 should be just as hot as the current 1.8. But since the processor is smaller, it will be less heat overall.

so far the only successful oc done of these gateways was using c2x processors. zero issues [email protected]

No idea; c2x?

X900
X700 etc. -
