Hi just purchased a refurb gateway laptop a m6319 the only thing is the bios got bricked and i didn't realize that the reburbs from gateway is horrible.. there is pretty much next to non existent...have been trying to unbrick this laptop with support from renovate manufacturing .. Gateway's refurbish dept I think...

well you think it be an easy task ... get a link to bios firmware...burn to usb or floppy disk receive the boot up instruction (ie. the fn+ f1 keys or what ever key combination to use...) and that's it done deal....

well not thing just phone tag... I call them all I get is an answering machine.. get a call back anywhere from 1 day to 2 days later... no link no email.. if i miss the call what a waste to time and effort....
So anyways enough of my ranting I was wondering if anyone out there can help me out for doing a bios recovery on my gateway m 6319 laptop I can't seem to get any info on the bios either since I got no help from Gateway on this...

Any help would be much appreciated ... Thanks ahead of time for any help

I hate to say it, but when BIOS are bricked it typically requires a new motherboard to fix. When BIOS are broken (Basic In Out System), nothing works on a computer, including the floppy or USB ports.

well I have done recovery flashes to An Acer Aspire One that I also bricked at the same time .. But due to the fact that it is a common item I was able to find info on the procedure to do a recovery flash to it.. The gateway on the other hand is a different story.. can't eevn get info on the phoenix bios so I can try to attempt a flash using a phoenix flash nor find the key combination for powering up.. worst comes to worst I will send it in to replace the bios itself.. The laptop is a paper weight anyways...

Oh by the way Thanks DigiDoc for the link I just have to find the correct flash for my Bios now somehow
