did i get a lemon>?

hi, so i got my new nx 860 xl . looks good and all that i had a good deal paid 1665 for it of of gateway website and , so the keyboard is the place that bothers me alot , its defenately low quality unlike my hp pavilion was , i wouldnt really care but on left side if keyboard when u press a button it kinda pushes all hte way , double klicing sorta stuff , so is thta a normal thing on gateway machines or is there a fix . cause i really hate to send it back and get get another one so any light on that matter would appreciated ,(my friend told me to go with dell

 

Mine does the same thing. Keyboard flex is not the Gateways strong point. I have heard of others who have had the same issue, called Gateway and they sent out a new keyboard replacement. It doesn't really bother me because my laptop is to save space, not be portable so I use a USB keyboard.

 

same on mine but only if i press hard. Also caveman, did you get the glossy screen? I have the same laptop nx860xl with glossy screen and i dont really like the screen because its grainy looking. You notice that? Especially whites.

 

when you buy gateway, you're always getting a lemon!

 

na, mine is matte screen ,my previous hp was glossy and hates that ,it was impossible to use the thing outside ,that untrue that u get a alemon with any gateway , company certainly had a dark period in the past but they are on the right track, and their systems doesnt lok as flashy as hps and dells or sonys ,their put their money into components i think that what matters the most for power users.
