Hey folks, i just bought this hard drive http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?afsrc=1&EdpNo=4008610&CatId=1277&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&AffiliateID=lw9MynSeamY-79OWKeIFU3P7bqCggoAJaQ
and was wondering if i needed to buy a cover for it in order to install it in my p7811 fx?

Would I need to buy a cover for this HD in order to put it into my 2nd hard drive slot or can it be installed as it is?

Also, from what i understand all i have to do is put it in the 2nd hard drive slot and windows will automatically install the drivers. am I missing anything else?

it should be fully covered when it arrives, and there is a tray in the second bay to mount the drive into. Just make sure you've got screws with that thing or you'll be kicking yourself for having to order them online after you get the HD. and yeah it's simple open and drop in operation.. should be no problems.

As what the last person said, it comes with a cover, slid it in, and your all set. Mine are screwed in, not even the one that came with the notebook.

Also, if you are "screwless", you can borrow two screws from the other HD.

Most folks recommend if you do, take (and use) one for each of two diagonal corners.
