    dropping WiFi when transfering files over the network

    Craziest thing happened to my wireless. Whenever I transfer big files (like 1GB+) my wifi disconnects. What i have to do is just flip the switch from on to off and then go back and it comes back. Odd thing.

    i have this same problem but does it a lot sometimes but then other time it wont do it for a while i can be pretty close to the router and it will drop.

    I dunno if this will fix ur problem but its worth a shot. Transferring speeds will increase slightly as well.

    Disable Remote Differential Compression
    Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On or Off
    Find Remote Differential Compression and uncheck the box, click OK
    Pretty sure you have to restart.

    Do you have any extra stuff open or does it do this even when no other programs are running in the background (Such as wmplayer)
