    e card reader problem

    my e card reader dont works is a p 6860 but i put in the p6861 drivers because i put vista 32 in it, is thah the cause?

    ok so used p6831 drivers for a 6860 notebook because you are using vista x86.
    that should be no problem.

    now what card do you try to read and what happenes ?

    Are you still getting shocked? That may be part of the issue seeing as how it's probably still trying to kill you.

    try uninstalling it in device manager and then restart windows and see if windows reinstalls it for you, thats how mine started working after it quit a while ago.

    I'm having the same problems. I've reinstalled the driver, restarted the computer and tried a few different types of cards. Nothing works. please help.

    well just for you guys i went and tried that card reader for the first time.
    i shoved in a sony memory stick pro and immediately i got a pop up of a new storage device.

    so what drivers you are using ?

    i just did a reinstall and vista picked it up right away, it said it used the generic media card driver. try uninstalling it, i think there was a driver on the app/driver cd you should have made.

    Yes. Yes it will. I have a 4gb SDHC Class 4 stuffed in mine as we speak. :)
