hello, i have a gateway NV73A Win 7 notebook that i have not been able
to create default factory disks in the recovery management . it fails to burn and verify .

i made one disk of the drivers and apps that did complete
but get this when i try to run the disk it wont autorun
so i checked the disk that the laptop created , the
autorun has a directory that points to a vista file
on the disk to start autorun process .

why is the recovery disk on a loaded from factory win7
machine have anything with vista in a factory reset disk
that it made from the recovery disk management program?

    o and i contacted gateway through chat . i have a 2yr
warranty on the laptop but apparently the software
only has 90 day warranty. when did programs start having a warranty . its a sad day when the programs don't last
as long as the machines

in the end they wouldn't send me recovery disks because
of being over 90days which i thought a 2 yr warranty is
    a 2 yr warranty .

so now i don't know weather to trust the recovery partition
of the computer in fear that i may not be able to recover the
OS and drivers and apps and then having to pay Gateway $20 for A recovery disk i should be able to create .

what happen to the good ol days when the OS disk was
in the box with the cpu . cutting cost and shunning
your customers seem like bad businesses.

warranty on programs ? really, stop sending programs no one will use and give a systems disk

    any thoughts appreciated .
