hello guys, i was considering the emachines special at best buy the mx4625 model, it has two very important things I want, which is a 15inch 4:3 display, I get tired of widescreen especially with the old legacy games I run, and also it has the Radeon xpress 200m, and the sempron seems nice.

    so here are my questions

    1. will the sempron 3100+ be faster then my current celeron M 370 1.5ghz

    2. I would like to know who the odm is, is it arima like most gateway laptops

    3. will this laptop have hinge problems in the future or is it built sturdy.

    thanks.

    1. yes the sempron should be better if it is 64 bit supported than the pentium M
    2. can u try to rephrase that please?
3/ its hard to tell when your ordering online, if the time has a 1 yr manufactures warranty then u prob should guess its good for about 2-3 yrs, ive owned a emachines desktop and still do its been going for 4 yrs and still working only had to replace psu so idk about laptop durrability w/ emachines but if anything try to look for turion they r much better than semprons.

    Hey Devon.
    2. The ODM for that model is Arima.
I think the Gateway notebooks today are made by Quanta actually.
I've never heard any bad things about that model you are looking at, but quite a few good things.
