I plugged a new ethernet cord into my P-7805u for the first time and I can't get it out. I previously was using an ethernet cord with a broken off connector that came out easily. The stuck cord pulls out a somewhat significantly to where pushing it back in causes it to click. There is nothing physical wrong that I can tell with the ethernet cord. I've tried wiggling it while pushing down hard on the plastic tab and pulling out hard but to no avail. Is there any sort of strategy to use?

try pulling back the sheath (the small lump) that covers the tab to fully reveal the plastic tab itself; this should then allow you to fully depress the tab all the way down to pull the cord out of the socket.

i have this problem all the time with new ethernet cables and use this solution to good effect :)

Thanks for the tip!! Now that it is broken in, it is much easier to take out.
