Not that I know the answer to your question, but what model is your computer?
 -

I've heard that as a common complaint with the FX series.

oops thanks forgot to add that little detail its a new 7805U, my 6860 never done this.

All 7805u's do this...It is the style of cooling gateway used for these laptops..annoying yes...but works fine...do a search on this..it is also mentioned in the 7805u review

I thought like all FX series did this. Every week or so it seem like someone asking about the pulses and i thought people say its just something the FX series does.

what do you mean by pulsing?

On the 78xx models of the FX notebook instead of the constant hum we get (on the 68xx and 17x models) they will barely hear anything (as the fans operate on ultra low speeds) and then all of the sudden hear the fans "pulse" up to a very high RPM to preform a quick cool down of the CPU/GPU
I convinced my cousin to buy a 7805 (when it still had the 1920x1200 screen) and you can deffinatly tell the difference. My 6860 is a louder machine in "normal" operation but easy to drown out but the pulse never lets your ears get used to the fan noise so you can ignore it.
fans pulse a lot any ideas
