    fifa 08 crash help

    hi guys. I have a 6860 and have problems with fifa 08. everytime the ball hits the crossbar/post the game crashes. I tried changing the nvidia driver and that didn't fix it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and that didn't fix it either. any ideas? thanks

    yes I tried the patches. still same problem. whenever the ball is about to hit the post the game crashes. anyone else using fifa 08 on 6860 have the same problem?

    yes I have the 17x.79 and replaced the inf file. I searched the forums and a couple of 6860 users mentioned that 174.74 worked for them. but I couldn't get 174.74 to work. I tried changing the inf line command as per the nvidia driver guide, but it kept giving me errors. So I figured what the heck i'll go for the newer one. I searched many forums and there was one other person that has the same problem as me, but in that thread no one was able to help him. anyone else playing fifa 08. I mean if you guys are using the same laptop and same game, mine should work too. lol.

    I'm a huge football fan but I've never come across this problem. Maybe something is wrong with your installation?

    hey does fifa on your pc look really bad like worse then ps1
    i tried cranked everything up and it looks like n64 graphics

    where did you find these patches from? They didn't fix the problem, but I couldn't find these patches on the ea website. maybe the official patches would help

    they are official patches from EA . largedownloads.ea is there stuff officially .oh and how i found them was the magic of Google :).
