You can find closeout on some 7811FX laptops at some Best Buys. My local Best Buy is still charging full retail price, but you can talk them down to 1349 by showing them the same system on BestBuy.com. A few people have reported seeing them (one person purchased one) for under $1100 at some BB stores.

Flynnaz- you should return that one you got at BB if you still can, Tigerdirect has the 6860 for $799.00 right now

Don't forget the refurb has 3 months warranty compared to the 1 year warratny from the BB model though. Guess it depends on what you value more.

Just get a P7811FX off Ebay for around $1300. You can get $200 cashback. Might even get lower. I bought mine for $1300 - $200 cashback and came with 2 extra 180w adapters and 2x 320GB WD Blacks.

I was one of those. drove from orl to daytona and got one for $1015.
When u talk to a BB ask them to look in system and see if other stores have lower clearance price. the best I could get in orl was 1250. the price in daytona was due to excess inventory. they had lots of lappys stacked up everywhere! ( not just these). seriously, the showfloor looked like a warehouse.u cant get it shipped or anything that not how it works you have to go get it.
this is my first lappy. now i want a thin and light to go with lol.

I drove to gainesville to get the 7811FX originally, from Jax. One heck of a trip.. and I spent full sticker price! Like, $1449 I think it was at the time. Kinda fuzzy..the price changed and so many exchanges..but that seems to be the right cost originally. I was in between jobs, and had 2 months off to spend money and fuq with a puter. Was quite nice. Im considering being unemployed again, just to have more time with you folks on NBR :p

EDIT: Any idea how I can get paid by NBR? ;)
