I have a gateway 400sd4 laptop. Lately I was having trouble with it booting. I would push the power button sometimes nothing would happen. Turn it upside down say nice things to it re-push the power button and it would start. I have had the same problem starting on battery alone or just power cord alone. Once it starts it seems fine until I shut it off. And history repeats it's self. Any ideas? I disassembled it today and could find nothing wrong. After reassembly it started right up but now I'm back to square one. I can't get it to boot at all.

Thanks for your help in advance; warranty ran out 9/28/2004
