I have a gateway notebook Ma7 and the model # of the battery is SQU 412. I have found that they are selling a different voltage battery for this laptop. my battery says 11.1 volts 4800mAh and the replacement battery says 14.4 volts 4800mAh. The connections look the same. My question can I use the replacement battery.

Different volts. Shouldn't work. (unless the computer is able to take more than one type of volt... which I would think it unlikely.)
Besides, from the stats (4800) I would think they hold the same amount of power, just that the 14.4 can provide more at one time.

    Just taking a guess though.
