Hi My laptop is about 2 and half years old now, I been getting a lot of problems lately. My current problem is that the audio jack and the speakers do not work! When I turn on my laptop, the speakers works for about 1-2 mins and then stop working completly. Sometimes sound may come in between for fews secs when watching a video on youtube. Please help!

Also for the audio jack, I bought a usb sound card. Now what happened was after pluggin it in the usb, no sound came from the headphones but the speaker laptop started working for 5-10 mins.

    Please help

Does not sound like the hardware, speakers, themselves. There could be main board hardware issues. I do know usually with the USB sound ports there is a software cut off for the main and or headphone jack. It could though be the headphone jack as usually there is a switch mechanism to realize the headphoen is in so the speakers can get cut off. Without having it in hand it is hard to specifically diagnose................
