    I have a gateway laptop model#1150 I paid a whole 99c for. When I plug the power in the light comes on & it beaps but the screen stays dark. Is it dead?? Does it need windows loading up again?? It has stickers for celeron intel inside & MS windows ME. How do I get it to boot up??

    how many beeps? frequency? short beep? long beep?
    ram is the most cause, followed by bios schock - depending
