    gateway motherboard schematics?

    i have a 400sd4 that i need to reset the CMOS on.
    i can't find any schematic of the motherboard to tell me what pins to jump or anything else. we can't even find the CMOS battery. board is DA00A6MBAF8 rev: f

    Your probably not going to find the schematics, they are usually not made public. However I did find the CMOS battery for this nogtebook online and it's a full size CMOS battery(nearly the size of a quarter), so look harder is there somewhere. It might not even be on the motherboard or maybe it's on the backside.

    i had to end up taking the entire computer apart, as the cmos battery is under the mainboard (you can actually see it from the bottom of the computer)

    follow the instructions in this repair manual to properly tear the computer apart and re-assemble it
