This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    gateway sales support?

    what happened to gateway sales support via chat? i cant find it anymore in www.gateway.com :S the only way of a chat is to talk a tech rep and ONLY with a serial number of a notebook... there is no longer the sales rep ppl, where u ask stuff about computers b4 buying them?

    You can find more information about this in the other recent gateway threads. In short: Gateway moved to indirect sales. Meaning they dont have sales reps now, meaning you can't chat with sales reps, since they don't exist.

    indirect means there is no more sales on www.gateway.com, but i need to buy in a retail store?

    yes or online through companies such as tigerdirect, which is now (one of?) gateway's certified reseller(s). you cannot buy directly from gateway anymore.
