every now and then my screen will 'freeze' for a second or two during gaming, and it gets kind of annoying. any idea how to fix this? i dont game on battery, so i dont think its powermizer. its particularly annoying when playing cod4 and you run around a corner to 3 enemies and you try to shoot at them and it 'freezes' before you can....HELP!

Cant remember the thread i had read where people were complaining about RMclock and the 177.66s together making the games hitch so its worth shot to disable RM clock and try to play the game and see what happens . you may also want to change the option for the moment to have RM boot up at windows start up and reboot before trying it .

the thing with that is that it was doing it while i had 177.41 drivers installed too...so its not the first time i noticed it. before i installed RMclock, it would do it when set to 'high performance' power scheme.

Hmm weird. I was gonna ask you the next time I talked to you if you had the same problem. I know its not virus scan related,as I dont run any actively, so who knows what it is.

You know i just noticed something and it may or may not be the problem but both you and dook have Raid 0 320s and both have the same problem . Not saying for sure that IS the problem but i very well could be.

Hmm. I never thought about that. it could be something with the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. I'm gonna do some searching on the net and see if others have similar issues. Good thinking, thanks!

    EDIT: Just found this:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/archive/index.php/t-160154.html

Something from that thread made me remember I recently set the power options to turn the hard drive off on both plugged in and battery after 10 minutes. For the hell of it, I disabled this option, so we'll see if that makes any difference.

Okay Dokay Smokay, I've been playin the hell outta COD4 for about an hour now and have had no glitches or freezes. I don't wanna speak to soon and/or jinx myself, but the hard drive power down seems to have fixed my issue(not sure it will fix others, but its a start). I guess time will tell.
