i created an account just so i could post. im having some serious hang ups right now.

i have the p7805u but have upgraded her ram and cpu.
    the specs...
    the x9100 intel C2D
    8 gb of ddr3 (pny)
    a hitachi 750gb hhd

i have icd on the heat sink and such. i have been reading the posts for a few weeks to find out my problems. here it is: my drivers for my video card crash, firefox crashes, and i can barely keep flash running, it crashes almost all the time. as a gamer, im so annoyed about my low fps and it seems blotchy. i have star wars and sometimes the peeps around me a purple. and skyrim is glitchy.

    please help me.

First, go to 9c.17.00. The .23 version alowws the GPU to run too hot. If you run Window 7 though you have to use the legacy 1394 drivers.

Since you are ICD what are the cpu and GPU temps like? Another issue could be the brick.

If you know someone with a targus 180w try that, if not since you have the x9100 try underclocking to 2.2 GHz and undervolt the cpu to its lowest. This may provide enough power to at least lower the crashes if not eliminate them.

Now if the brick is an issue this can cause permanent damage. The more it crashed the meore damage can occur. If this is the case no matter what you do the system may be unrecoverable..........

Your power plan is on balanced and not power saver right? Seems like a simple mistake, but I made it quite a few times....
