I had left my laptop on overnight because it was downloading a game and this morning it was dead

initial thought was oh it must have gotten unplugged somehow and the powerbrick light was off

tried moving it to a different outlet but as soon as I plugged the powerbrick into my laptop the light immediate disappeared

whether the battery was in my laptop or not didn't matter, same thing happened either way

    am I screwed? :(
