ok, my laptop is plugged in, it is in performance mode, and i play crysis on high and medium, after 20 to 40 min, my framerates drop from 40 to 20 to 12 fps even though there are no enemies? is something wrong with my gfx card? of course, the laptop is heating up but if i buy a cooler, would that stop the slowdown on my computer? i mean i know you guys dont get slowdown but why the heck do i get it? what should i do?
should i buy a notebook cooler to prevent slowdown? should i exchaange this?
im using xfasterst driver

I'm guessing your laptop is propped up so that there are proper ventilation right? Try the powermizer method so that your GPU without downclock: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=261929
It might help, it might not. Are you OC-ing your GPU? What's your GPU temperature? -
its normal, it happens quite often when frp suddenly dropped to 1/4 of max fps. i got 6fps or 8 fps only sometimes when im in high setting native res.
the most likely cause is intel speedstep in montevian chipset, its only 25w tdp
compared to t series chip 35 tdp , both p series & t series are 45nm though. -
well, first i use stock settings. then it slows down. oc'd a bit then it still went down..
how the hell am i going to remedy this anyway? -

What resolution are you playing in ? what are you settings in game ? what level is it your seeing 12fps ? if its the snow covered levels and your seeing 12fps at native resolution with shaders even on medium that level will cripple most computers so thats nothing out of the ordinary tbh . Do you have hardware monitor installed ? keep an eye on you TZS0 and see if it spikes to 98c when you hit 12 fps . You really have to be much more specific when your asking others for help, like Resolution, what videocard drivers ,ingame settings ,possibly what level your experiencing this issue , is your laptop elevated on the back end ? all these things have to be taken into consideration when your having problems.

well, im using the xfastest 177.85 drivers,
reslution 1280 x800
custom config high
and all levels...
40 min its fine then after, it will slw down
what is TZs0?
what do you mean my laptop is elevated on the back end(im not good in english, sorry)? -
This laptop should be propped up on the backend when gaming . put something under the 2 rubber feet like 2 bottle caps or something to elevate the tail end of the computer. the TZS0 is a thermal sensor that when it hits 98c it will throttle the CPU till it cools down hence why you would see slowdown if its happening .
Go to this website http://www.cpuid.com/ and download the 64bit version of HWmonitor on the top left of the screen and keep an eye on your Temps . -
That has happened to me too, and every time i see that FPS is suddenly very low and laggy, i go to desktop and look at my running CPUID Harware Monitor, the temp for TZS0 (northbridge chip) has hit 98C. And thats why all the other chips in laptop are starting to downclock, which lowers the FPS in game.

most likely memory leakage -a known issue . runs good than like after a period of time the fps drops. one way to check is to restart the game and the fps should be higher again. make sure you have the latest patch installed.
-
if i use a cooler, would that prevent the slowdown?
-
a notebook cooler, that is?
also, i have the patch 1.2 installed -
-
how do i prevent memory leakage if that is the case then?
-
any help on preventing memory leakages
-
should i get a cooler or what?

I have same problem when playing WoW, its when the TZSO spikes to 98c is when it stutters. Very annoying.
how come my crysis slows down in 7811fx while u guys dont?
