I'm going to pick up a cheap gateway solo 2150 with a pentium 3 500 processor. It has 32mb built in system memory, and one slot with 256mb filled. I just looked it up, and it said maxed memory a slot will hold is 256mb???

Is the memory on that computer already maxed out?

    Yes sir!

And going by the link Incursis provided and the other stuff i've been reading, that 256mb stick is all it will beable to read. That's just too weak for todays standards. I could get by with the p3/500, but only with 1GB minimum on the memory. O well...thanks for the input guys!
