    uninstall nVidia performance tool when the installation package is not available, wont uninstall from control panel, and running the setup package for it wont uninstall the thing either, and reformatting the hard drive IS NOT an option.

    do you mean the nvidia control panel? cuz i don't recall mine came with a performance tool of any sort.

    nope...something completely different. its the newer version of ntune compatible with newer drivers. it comes in the nvidia system tools with esa support package.

    reinstall it ie everything in the ntune package then try to uninstall it again.

    How did you go about uninstalling Ntune which is not showing up in the control panel/uninstall program list and isnt working properly?

    umm...lemme ask dook what the name of the program was that he recommended.

    edit: here we go. its just the trial version , but it worked wonderfully!
