Sorry narsnail..the second link is dead and its kindve hard to tell what's going on just using those pictures. Anyone else have anything to provide tutorial/help wise? Also does everything I need come with the boxed cpu that I will buy? Not trying to venture off topic but also to configure raid 0 do the hdd's have to be exact same size model etc?

changing that cpu is faster than you doing raid zero. hard drive should be identical for raid. and no, you will need "something" like arctic silver 5 to put on the cpu.

I don't think the hdd's have to be the same, it's just the bigger one will use the amount of space the smaller one uses "in raid" and the left over space will be "out of raid".

It would however be better to have two similar hdd's for raid IMO.

i wouldn't suggest a newbie to deal with AS5, either too thick or too thin will potentially fry your CPU. thermal paste is the only way, no alternatives

Hm...that isn't too cool hehe. Really wanna upgrade the processor asap. Hm how big are the chances to go to thick/thin and potentially screw the cpu up?
