so i've been in the market for a fan cooler for my notebook but can't seem to decide. the zalman nc-2000 seems to be the best but is kinda out of my price range. and i also don't know what other coolers to get due the the slots under my P-7805u being in odd locations. sooo any idea which cooler fan i should look into?

also cause i dont wanna make another thread, when i browse the web it seems to be slower than usual but when i game it still runs really well. any idea whats going on???

I've been using my 7811FX with just some elevation on the back and never got a heat attack, yet.

Router, ISP? Are on Wifi? on cable direct? Which browser are you using? Try with another one? ...

    cheers ...

actually if you lift the rear, you might have to lift the front a bit to...because it cuts off the air flow to the HDD'S

I used to have a 5 disc set dvd case on the back (by the battery)
and two water bottle caps on the front rubber pads (so it would angle upward towards the back)

Yeah, watch out for that HDD. With my 7811, it gives me the most problems. I can play pretty much anything without a cooling pad, and GPU, CPU, and ACPI will be hot, but not in danger. The HDD however, idles above 40C without a cooling pad, and it can go above 50C in some games, which is way too hot. I've heard that it can even warp the plastic. What I did when I didn't have a cooling pad was just put fans around my computer. It wasn't very comfortable, but it cooled the HDD pretty well.

This is a bit random, but i have a chance of Buying a refurbished one of these for 850 CAD. It has 3 months warranty and i may be able to buy a service plan.
Do you guys think I should get it?

That's how I'm cooling mine right now and haven't had any issues, though I also have it raised on some water bottle caps
