    i mean seriously, im really having a hard time dual booting this **** laptop(gives me error mssg anytime i choose xp from the dual boot menu and i followed the **** guidelines in the tutorial on this forum :mad: ).

    is the improvement significant anyway?

    I never followed a tutorial on dual booting, I just wiped my HD clean, took a big wild shot that 2 partitions means 2 OSes, which worked perfectly.

    Anyway, you'd get maybe 100-150 extra points on 3DMark06, otherwise in terms of FPS, a few more. But nothing huge?

    Unless you really need to run certain apps that cannot run under Vista, it is not worth the effort. The difference is very minimal.
