    issues with P6860FX video and Vista64

    symptoms:
    * try to personalize the desktop background
    * in 32 bit mode, none of the wallpapers or pictures display, although can be selected; when selected, does not change background
    * in 16 bit mode, pictures and wallpapers display in the dialog box; selecting does nothing
    * can change the desktop background color
    * when go to control panel, no icons display, just the icon titles

    I have updated to the 177.96 vista 64 Nvidia driver from laptopvideo2go. No dice.

    I find threads here and there talking about other people experiencing the problem, but no solid solution.

    Anyone else experiece issues like this? Is there a way to reset video properties to factory without re-installing the OS? Will re-installing the OS wipeout any data or programs installed?

    i never read anyone having issues like u describe, i would reinstall the os
