Hu, I edited a post asking about it in my thread but my 7811 is giving me a "The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit" error. Any ideas why that's going on?

if u were trying to install physx before the official release, that could possibly be the problem... Nvidia officially released the new pack today, so ur install pack could be different from todays new pack (sorry not on lappy atm). I would suggest downloading the official install pack to see if there's a difference between the 2 or wait til nars provides us with an update.

if u changed video drivers recently, reinstall ur factory driver and install the official physx pack and see if it works.

you just need a modded INF, I dont know where there is one atm, you will have to wait a day or two until Laptop2govideo has theirs up. Mobile gpu's were neevr really supported from Nvidia, thats why the drivers dont work, the INF makes it compatible with mobile hardware.

did you create a back up driver disc when u first purchased the laptop? that is always the first thing to do with the GW FX series and GW tells u to do that and provides the program to do so.

if not rollback ur driver... if that fails, head to gateway.com website for drivers for the 7811 series (if they have support for it already)

lol, I uninstalled my drivers, forgot about the INF file so the new drivers won't install.... then I go to laptopvideo2go and they are offline right now :(

Can't be that hard to modify the .INF files....

Does the The Great Kulu: Technology Demo work for 8800m GTS? "Minimum Recommended Graphics: GeForce GTX 260" Sorry, am confused about the wording.

Apparently with that demo you can only enable hardware PhysX on the GTX 260 or 280. With any other GPU it will only allow CPU PhysX.

Edit: I'm looking into trying to copy over an old .INF file where needed, got a program to compare text files... unsuccessful so far :(

Of course.... if it doesn't have PhysX then it won't do ANYTHING... which is funny because people keep talking about differences they see in CoD4.... with no PhysX support

Ya, I've tried the .83 drivers from laptopvideo2go and the latest physx drivers, and it still won't let me enable.

Do I need a modded inf from somewhere else?

You downloaded the drivers from laptopvideo2go, but did you download their modded .inf with it? I believe you have to download that seperately

make sure the .83 driver youre downloading is the international version, for which the modded .inf is intended for. the English standalone version wont work with the modded .inf, from what i experienced.
