Since it's cash only, it should be in person. Check it out in person, and make sure you check the CPU and GPU.

Looks legit to me. I do a lot of CL shopping and buying and see none of the typical warning flags normally associated with scams. The unit only sells for $899 retail, so $650 seems reasonable. You'll be getting a decent mid-range gaming laptop for a decent price. I'd say go for it. Just make sure you check everything out before handing over the cash.

if he is only willing to sell locally, you shouldnt have a problem. but as above people mentioned, be sure to check the laptop first.

Just tell him before you hand him the cash that you want to inspect it. Let him know that as long as its exactly like he said, you ARE going to take it. This should put his mind at ease about letting you open it.

well if its unopened there should be a sticker or something that shows its sealed. if that seems legit, its a good sign. still inspect the laptop.

Ask him this, if you can do the transaction at the nearest police precinct. You ask an officer to be witness and 3rd party, you hand over the money to the seller, you immediately open the package, and if it DOES NOT look like the correct laptop, you immediately let the police officer know. It does not even have to be at the police precinct, it can be with anyone just as long as there is a 3rd party witness. That way both of you are covered. If he does not want to do that, then he is hiding something. It is very easy to use a hair dryer to remove that seal sticker and then reapply it again. God Bless :)

WOW... lol  You don't need to go through all that. Just have the person write you up a bill of sale with a description of the product and both of you guys sign it. That should be enough to give you legal recourse if something goes wrong.

Yea for real. That's insane, if I were the seller, and had to go through all that, I think I'd find someone else to sell to.
