The most strange thing have happened. My mouse pointer works smoothly when I use my touch pad, but the pointer becomes very jumpy, even lock up for like a second every time I use my USB mouse.

Someone please help me and provide a solution.

The USB mouse is Logitech G7, the laptop is p7811fx.

In addition, when I use Driver Detective it says the following drivers and out of date:

    (8) Intel (R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller
    Intel (R) 82801 PCI Bridge - 2448
    O2Micro Integrated MMC/SD controller
    High Definition Audio Device
    HID-compliant mouse

If possible please help me to find drivers for any of them.

    Thank you!

I would not touch the other drivers.

Your mouse will benefit from the Logitech driver for the G7. Just go the the Logitech site and find the driver.

I already using the latest driver from logitech. My usb mouse become very very unstable every time I download stuff. I think the problem maybe due to some drivers. I am guessing my usb mouse share some sort of bandwith with internet connection.

Your using the latest Setpoint 4.60 or the drivers from the disk? There is a huge difference.

Also the G7 uses a true 2.4ghz wireless instead of Bluetooth for enhanced speed. So try the most up to date drivers, if that doesn't work play with the channels your wireless access point uses and try to get the away from the freq's the G7 uses. Might take a little trial and error.

Cool Thanks a lot! The mouse is fine now, it only freezes when I am downloading a big file. The strange thing is that my touch pad works fine during the download.

It still is not right. Shouldn't freeze at all. Make sure the mouse does not have some exotic setting enabled.

I have a funny feeling it's that he's using a 2.4Ghz mouse and a 2.4ghz wireless at the same time in such close proximity. That's why I thought playing with the router freq's to try and negate it.

Could always go grab a dual band router and run your wireless in the 5ghz range, but that seems a bit extreme when it should just work anyway.

Yes it's hard to blame the laptop for this one. I'd say Tyreck is on to something.
