My mx7515 is having some problems with the wireless adapter. While fixing a video driver problem on the laptop, the wireless card got disabled somehow. I have installed-reinstalled the BCM adapter [from gateway.com, black imperial.com] multiple times but with not much luck as i am not able to connect to any network. It seems as if the adapter is working as i can see the wireless icon on the laptop lit up but it cannot detect any network around it. When i try to repair the connection, i get an error mentioning that the adapter might not be installed properly! Anyone had similar problems?

. is the wifi connection "enabled" (for sure)?
. tried to un.install the device and let windows picking it by itself?
. disable windows zero configuration service and see if it is being improving?
    . reset ur router?
. ur cable direct connection works?

    cheers ...

thanks for the suggestions. The wireless is enabled for sure, as there is no yellow exclamation mark next to it in the device manager and the wireless button is lit, can see icons for windows wireless[with a red X] and the broadcom symbol of the right hand corner. I have played around with the WZC, but still cannot detect any network. Not sure about the router, i cannot detect any network anywhere[home, school etc]. I have uninstalled the device, but windows is not able to find a suitable driver on its own. I have to direct it to certain files where i stored the driver. I am not sure whether there is a correlation between the VGA and the wireless adapter b,cas the whole thing started when i was fixing the VGA which inturn was interfering with the standby options on my laptop. By the way,the direct cable connection works fine. I am able to access the web flawlessly with it.

try changing your router's wireless channel.
