    I am using a P-7811FX with Vista 32Bit

so I ran 3dmark06 1.1.0 version, and I get REALLY bad scores... about 1000..
I used the default 1280x1024... just install and go test...
I am using xFAST 177.85 nvidia driver at stock ( no OC'ing)
The games play great.. WOW, Warhammer Online, COD4, and C&C 3
But I can't figure out the problem.
I tried VANTAGE as well, same issue...
the demos run crazy skippy and slow...
framerates start out at 11fps, and average 4-6 fps or LOWER through out the 3dMARK06 demos..
I tried the hotfix too for vista, same issues...
    any ideas? help??
I also installed PhysicsX after the xFAST nvidia driver...

3dmark isnt always that reliable... if gaming performance is normal, dont worry about it, its probably a driver issue.

but 1000 is pretty low though :(

Yeah my first guess is it benched on battery. With all the downclocking features of the CPU and GPU, it makes a pretty big difference if you don't disable it all.

As long as your system preforms i wouldnt worry about it. With the 6860 (x9000 and overclocked CPU) i was only able to get 5300ish in 3dmark06 and even after tweeking i was barely able to break 8300. But my system kicks the dog crap out of gaming and projects that i preform with it.

3dmark isnt everything. And i guess sometimes the program just doesnt like you (it apprearently doesnt like me either)

I guess the best thing to do would be to try to run it (as the others said) with your battery out and only on wall power is you want to see if thats a problem.
The other thing you can do is download FRAPS and check your in game preformance. If thats where it should be then completely ignore 3dmark06 and just enjoy your life with a really good rig ;)

Unless your going for some kind of record with the thing just basically ignore the benchmark and have fun.

    wait u cant break 8300??

I can almost break 10k......its not a problem, 3dmark sucks, but that just seems wierd.

well in truth i get 8353, but the over all point remains. I should have a high 10K system (without alot of tweeking the system), but for some reason when i run the program my x9000, overclocked 8800gts, 640 gigs of 7200RPM RAID 0, and 4gb of 4-4-4-12 RAM means absolutly nothing to 3dmark06 :p

I "should" at this point have one of the most powerful 6860's, but according to 3dmark06 my system is barely over a stock set up (about 7400 stock if i remember correctly)

But acording to the increase in preformance i get in real world usage i an sitting where i should be. I'm running cooler and at almost twice the speed i was getting with everything stock. So i basically assumed 3dmark06 just didnt like me and i've moved on :p

Is there any way to disable the TZS0 sensors on these computers. That is exactly what is kiloing your 3dmark score.

thanks for all the replies guys...
ok, it is def. running well on the power. And I checked with
NHC in the background to make sure it is at 2.2ghz and not stepping the cpu.
100% sure power cord is not loose :)...

And yes, I am not too worried about it at all... I was wondering what it could be, that's all... My best guess is the driver of sorts too... Maybe some DX10 update in Vista that is messing with it, etc...
    Anyways, thanks all....

Hey, what program do you guys use to Edit the voltage's of the cpu/speed stepping, etc...???

with the stock video drivers that came with the p7811fx are you able to game on just battery power without losing frames per second, or does it have to be plugged in an outlet to get full performance without losing fps?
