    need help got questions about fresh install on 7805u

    ok heres the questions i went and bought a 2nd hd same as factory drive western digital 320 i want to reformat and setup raid i know how aqnd everything and understand raid0 but here is the question setup would be like this first drive about50gb second 500 whatever stripe for first say small like but the second 128 stripe now can i install some of my big games like hawx and cod4 and run them from the second drive and just use the first for os and programs now for the movie editing i use convertx2dvd would it run from the second hd for editing movies please help i just dont know somethings about the raid0 if it would work like i want thanks for the replys they would be appreciated

    editing movies uses larger files than gaming, I would stick with the default 128 strip raid 0, all on the same raid

    yea but can i install and run games on the larger portion say the 500 size drive in the raid configuration

    yes I am sure you can. I do not partition mine, I have tried it that way in the past, and have found no speed gain by doing it, so why bother.

    I would setup raid0, just make sure you backup to a external hd if you can.
