    does anyone have or know where i can get drivers for windows xp?

    i tried the ones from gateway site no luck.

    can someone tell me why the idt drivers for the 6860 are not working? maybe a link to a good driver?

    The site I linked you to tells you how to mod Gateway's IDT driver to make it work in XP. There are a few people who supposedly had trouble with the mic and HDMI port, but sound works. In addition, I think someone put together a custom driver that addressed the mic and HDMI issues, but you'll have to read through the thread to find/use it.
