Im thinking about getting the Gateway P-7801u laptop, and i was wondering if it is good enough for games like crysis, company of heroes, Supreme Commander, CoD 4 and 5, things like that.
i would really appreatiate the feedback
thanks

only one of those games you listed that i cant run on high is crysis (im running a 7811)
hope that gives you an answer =P -
thanks man, i appericate it,
but the computer will still play cryisis at a lower level with a decent fps right?
also, whats the difference between the P-7801u and yours, 7811? -
yeah i can run crysis high settings =) might just have to tweak a bit
-
excellent!!!
i guess half the fun is tweaking your machine to play games -
Also i'm not running a consistan 30+fps but very playable... and i think that was before my cpu upgrade... anyhow you will find it to be more than adequate for the cost... you'll definitely be paying over $2k for anything that outperforms this beast!
-
can i upgrade the cpu? its not intergrated right? and is the graphic card able to changed out for a different model?
but yah, thanks. -
CPU, HDD, RAM (although it will already have 4gb ddr3),screen, DVD drive, and some other stuff if you get into tearing the thing apart can all be upgraded. GPU CAN NOT. it's soldered onto the MOBO.
-
thats sucks i cant change out the GPU, 4 gigs of ram is more then enough, but i would love to have a quad core, would one fit?
-
As of right now quads are not supported. but maybe someday we'll figure out if quad support is a hardware issue or BIOS issue. right now no one knows for sure. i guess when the BIOS is available from the new quadcore FX someone will test and see...
-
thanks! really appreciate the help, im ordering it right now.
