    nop 1920x1200 screen on the p7850u?????

    Nope, the 7805 never had a 1920x1200 screen, its just with the multitude of 78xx series out at one time it basically boiled down to what ever they stuck in the box that was sent out.

    The 78xx series is basically cut and paste of each other.

    That is correct - the 7805u never showed specs of the WUXGA 1920 screens.

    However, the 7811 and 7801's show specs on the Gatweay site as having WUXGA 1920 screens.

    I suspect that in order to meet commitments of the 7805u, Gateway's builders substituted the WUXGA screens (from inventory which would have been remaining from 7811s or for newer 7801s) when they didn't have a supply of the 1440 x 900 screens. This may be why so many of the 7805u's have the WUXGA screens.

    LOL that doesn't sound very professional of them :eek: though as long as they aren't giving you 900P screens when they advertise a 1200P screen... it's kinda nice :rolleyes:
    BTW with the 7811 laptops, some people sent theirs back to gateway for screen repairs, and when they got the laptop back from gateway they had the 900P screen instead of the 1200P that they had before they sent it in.

    ^ wow i'd be mad at gateway! I had the first fx and then the 7811 and the 1200p is much, much better. if you can find an fx with it i'd go for that. though i never heard about screen problems, which might be why gateway stopped selling the 1200s.

    Wait what? No, my P-7805u has a 1920x1200 screen. I am currently reading my print and details and it says plainly P-7805u.


    I got mine from TigerDirect.ca but I was lucky to get this one.

    I got mine about a month ago from best buy and it has the 1920x1200 screen... love it!

    Yep same here, I got the LG WUXGA screen (1200p). Was the last unit at a Best Buy in Long Island after a fairly long search.

    When it was said that the 7805 doesnt come with the 1920 screens he didnt mean that none came with it. He ment that no box/product was ever labeled as having a 1920 screen even if it did happen to have one. I have a 1920 screen as well. I got lucky =P
