    odd whine from my computer

    my computer is making a loud whiny noise all the time. it is extremely annoying and i need to get rid of it. i am not sure where it is coming from, but im guessing the cpu. anyone have any ideas?

    check if you hear the noise when you put the screen to maximum brightness.
    The noise could be comming from the inverter.

    CPU never makes that noise.
    search this forum and you will see that it's not really the CPU, usually it's other components around the CPU.

    it could be one of your fans or your hard drive.

    remove your hard drive then start your computer.
