my girlfriends laptop keeps over heating. The fan on it seems not to be work correctly. it quickly will come on and off on and off. Shes bought a couple different of fans that you set the laptop on but it still overheats and shuts down. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

try purchasing a can of compressed air and cleaning out the notebook vents. A quick blast should be sufficient to exorcise any lurking dust bunnies.

the fan/vents are probably clogged up with dust and the source of your overheating problems. Getting rid of the dust will solve your problem.
