Hey guys I'm going to do this clean install thing, but the most emphasized part of the whole tutorial is to BURN THE RECOVERY DISCS!!!!

I am pretty sure I have done this correctly but I want to be sure before I do anything permanent. Under the gateway recovery center program I says to burn either a driver and application recovery disc or an ISO image disc. I plan on doing both just to be sure and want to know FOR SURE- that this will bail me out should an unlikely clean install mishap take place.

Am I safe to continue if I have burned these discs?

    THANK YOU ALL in advance!!

BTW thanks to the guys who recommended this machine to me it is incredible.

EDIT: I wrote while in mid creation process. I did not realize the iso burn recovery option simply burns an iso image file to the HD. This would be useless as with a clean install, it would be wiped out anyways. Am I simply to burn this iso image file as a data DVD??

Sorry so many questions just want to be sure before wiping the HD clean on a new machine. THANKS

yeah, and you really dont need to do a clean install..just remove norton and that backup software they have and your machine would run fine and load allot quicker. i did both types of install and it pretty much ran the same on load times. i did my 3dmark06 scores with a full system load on the original operating system. (minus norton and that spare back up stuff)
