    p-6831 fx optical drive noise

    when i am installing a game or software, i have a really really loud buzzing noise coming from the optical bay tha goes away when i press on the door. anyone else have this issue? think its something i should return the unit for? its REALLY loud

    Mine usually runs very quiet.If it is really loud and goes away when you press the door it sounds like the optical drive may be loose or not seated properly.You might want to exchange it for another one. This does not sound normal.

    Some disk are just plain out of balance and will rattle your cage, then other times a buzzing grinding can be heard when drive trying to read $##!!$ disk based protection.

    Our drives are good quality Sony/NEC.

    Mine does the same thing, but it works like a champ.

    Does anyone know if there will eventually be a Blu-ray drive that'll work in the FX?
