I bought my gateway p-6860 from best buy yesterday. :)
    Just several questions:
    1. it has 512 gdd3, right?
    2. where do i find xp drivers (i found them once on the forum, but lost them and cannot find them now. lol) and will 64-bit xp be ok for this machine?

    Thanks,

    Grishka

I wouldn't consider XP a downgrade by any means. The x64 version does give you the extra ram, but also comes with my compatibility issues with software. XP32 still sees 3.2-.3.3GB, that's still most of it.

I see that other threads have detailed instructions for switching to XP. One question, should I buy XP home edition or XP Professional edition? If either would work, I'll just get the home one.
