OK. So this may be corny, but I wanted to start this just to see about how many 7805 owners we have out there. I think I set up the poll right and it'll run, as you see, 30 days. Poll is at the very top of the page just in case you can't find it. Lets go......

Just an FYI, the result will not be correct. Since your title is "7805 Owners" many people are probably going to skip the topic thinking it doesn't relate to them.

I own one and definetly loving it from a gamer's point of view. I cannot believe that I can run GTA IV @ 1920x1200 on high settings with highest texture filtering at 35 fps with OC'ed GPU. The trick with that game is to disable the ugly looking shadows, and to do a bit of tinkering with the timecyc.dat and visualsettings. Btw using the 185.66 drivers.

Yes, I know. I was just trying o get a number for the owners and the poll needed at least 2 answers. So I chose yes and no. Anyway....

Been one for almost a month now and am loving it. I got the wxga version and love it. It doe's not look like a gaming computer . Everyone who has seen it loves the cover. Then when they hear how much I paid for it, after telling them what it has they are amazed.

I'm a new 7805u owner now. I randomly went to BB on Monday (4-27) to see what they had that I could get to replace my Gateway M350WVN (ah...that was a good laptop) and this was the best they offered.

I had no clue about what I was buying (I don't do that type of research until afterwards...lol) and I am quite happy with this computer, with the exception of the fans during idle.

But, I must rub salt into some open wounds. This one came with a 1920x1200 resolution monitor (yes, and I bought it on Monday).

This is a beautiful monitor over the old 350 monitor!!! Hope this last 6.5 years though like the 350 did.

    Hey KingMeander -

    Welcome to the board.

    Congrats on your purchase.

If you would be so kind as to provide us with your "batch number" and a portion of you SN in this thread: Gateway 7805u AUO/LG Batch Numbers it would be helpful to all.

    Thanks in advance.
