just installed this driver and what the heck!!
it messed up resolution..
there's 1920x1200.. it's alright but 1680x1050 became 1600x1024 and 1440x900 became 1400x1050. what the heck is wrong with scale? =(
i made custom resolution but scaling is off compared to last driver i had. some games no longer have same scale ratio and
full screen doesn't fill the whole screen like it used to.

anyone else having this issue, I am scared to update my drivers now.
-
Im assuming you knoe what you are doing but, how did you install your drivers? Like usual uninstall then driver cleaner n such?
This is why i wait for somebody to post first about new drivers before i update lol. But anyway, dont worry man, you ll find a solution to that, thats why your in notebookreviews -
oh, one more thing.. my tzs0 temperature went up to 98c during gameplay..
it never went over 72c before this update.. crap.. i am going back to old driver. =( -
I installed this driver earlier today, and it gave me a extremely distorted display while playing Lost Planet. I think the only way I can explain it is to say that it looked like a distorted time warp.
For me, these are a no go. -
Gave these a quick whirl on my P6860, everything works fine, not much difference from the 182.06 I had before. CounterStrike Source and Left4Dead still work. Tested with ambient occlusion on, seems like a very slight performance hit.
-
Yeah I get those resolutions to, but it doesnt really change anything. I doubt your going to change the resolution under 1900x1200. From personal experience I find anything else kind of grainy.
-
Becauze if you say like a distorted or like a time wArp, that is gpu matter. I hope everything do well for you -

im sure its the driver because its getting very bad reviews from lots of people not just here also at guru3d. these drivers seem to be bugged pretty good. try using the driver i am its very stable and gives great performance. i use the 182.46 dox drivers

Just did an install of these drivers, thought I should just see what the problems may be. Haven't gotten an issue as of yet... *knocks on wood*

I have the same exact laptop(P-7805u FX). I am wondering if I am able to install Windows7 RC1. If so, where do I get all of the drivers for it as Gateway does not have any on their site. Thanks in advance for the help.
-
Use the drivers in my guide along with Vista drivers for sound / media card etc.
-
Do I need to do the inf modification still? Has this been updated to Windows 7 RC1?
-
Hi,
The custome resolution works on this driver. You can create 1440x900 or other resolutions...... -
