be careful though, I actually liked that the volume did not display on the screen because if you're playing a full screen game and use it, often the graphic will display above the full screen game, or will display it below it and you might click it by accident causing you to alt-tab out. at least, that was my experience on my dell

MS Intellitype should also give you the onscreen volume/mute display, at least on WinXP it does.

You can always hold down the windows key + scroll on the mouse for quick volume up/down. ;)

Me either. What I do is just fn pg up or pg dn. Not too inconvenient. I don't know what gateway was thinking with that stupid volume bar though. It's just less convenient than 2 buttons, and it doesn't always work well.

Are you sure that volume doesn`t display in 7805?

Mine is a 7801 and it shows the volume on screen when I push the + or - button, and it`s basicly the same lappy!

    Make sure it isn`t configuration.

Are you still using the stock installation? Maybe whatever drivers are doing that got wiped when I reinstalled the OS. I'm using a 7811 tho.

Nope, this one is for the 3RVX. It's the default Hotkey setup for the program. All you have to do is press & hold the Windows key and scroll up/down.

That's why I guess. Anyone who reformatted their laptop doesn't have the drivers installed to hotkey volume change.
